I got inspired today. The weather was conducive to house cleaning.That intailed some damage control with the books.We have books in small piles.A few on the floor next to the bed. A big fat dictionary opened on the
coffee table. A bag filled with library books sitting near the front door.Books on shelves (Martha Stewart said to put the books right up to the edge of the shelf--that way, the shelf doesn't get dusty.) I have catagories of books. Different kinds of books
go in different bookcases. The books on the couches are the ones we are presently reading.
Our family reads a lot. When the children were living at home and Dad was away on a business trip, we had readable eatable
meals. Otherwise we didn't read at the table. Some times, they would quiz each other on the contents that they read on the back of cereal boxes.We read before we fall asleep. I can remember one kid, who stayed awake to finish "Charlotte's Web". We knew he
was still awake, because we heard, from his room-- his calling out --author, author.
It's a good read when a book grabs you and won't let you put it down. It's never too late to read one more page.....
