My husbands watch needs a new battery. The face just keeps blinking the same numbers, over and over again. How annoying.For him. He is the one who has to look at his watch to confirm that it is time to eat.
I see those blinking numbers as a reminder that we don't allow ourselves to move ahead when we have the possibliity of being caught in a time freeze. That is why I try so hard not to let time, or the lack of
it, keep me from experiencing as much as I can.
I have never been afraid to fail. That's why I trained for marathons, and why I did some tri-athelethons,why I keep going back to school, why I am learning to play
the violin,why I will stand up on the Bimah and speak into a microphone.It reminds me of an old Nike ad, "If you don't go, you won't know".
I'm knowing, I'm going and I'm growing. Take off the blinking watch,walk
away from the restriction of time,there is more to enjoy, because it is never too late.
