New Page-New Day

It's never too late

I have given a lot of thought to what I would leave behind when I make Aliyah. (I changed when I make Aliyah from if I make Aliyah--it's more positive and encouraging)

I would leave behind a place that we call paradise, but then Israel is the land of milk and honey, so what's so bad about that.

Our children live across the country and we visit once a year, grandchildren-sometimes less. There is internet and Skype, so keeping in touch electronically is good. Both of these methods are somewhat impersonal, but that works, because you talk of things behind the screen of electronics more openly than face to face. You just have to listen.

I will leave behind really good friends who cannot understand why I would leave this paradise to live a less privileged life style in Israel.

Really ? I know why I will make Aliyah.I believe in Israel.I like being Jewish. I want to be Jewish in Isreal.I need to take a step forward and be counted in the law of return .

For Isreal and for me, it is never too late.

Stand up for what you believe in, Leona...but we'll miss you and so will Kookie especially...he raced towards your house and up to your door, and you were gone.
