Today I watched a webex from NBN,(NBN stands for soul to soul) the organization that I have spoken about. Their conference was "Saying Goodbye and saying Hello".It made a lot of sense.It was pointed out that our family and friends might feel abandoned
by our leaving. We have to assure them that we love them and remind them that planes fly both ways, skype works just fine and email is very available.
I had to laugh when the moderator said the question about when you will learn how to speak Hebrew,
is when you learn how to speak Hebrew.That was good for me to hear because I am a slow learner.
He acknowledge that the Israeli culture is different and basically, we won't be the ones to change it.So just deal with it.
The most important lesson
was at the end of the hour webex.We were told something that I do believe in.That is jump in, put yourself out there.Probably your neighbors were where you are now,new to everything.So,it's never too late to be slightly afraid of what you have decided to do,
but strong enough to do it.
