My community here in Paradise, is my congregation . When we moved from the sububan town where we raised our children ,I really didn't mind.My association with the town had revolved around the kids and now they
were off to make their mark in the world. We moved to a high rise, in the city.I loved the building. I could look out of my 38th floor windows and see Lake Michigan and Lincoln Park. We had valet parking,a door man, who would walk your dog during his
lunch hour,a consierge. What's not to love. But it was not a community. Here in Paradise, I am part of a community .That reinvention that I spoke about has happened because I wasn't the only one looking .Mostly, our whole congregation is made
of people like me who have left the city where they worked, lived and prayed. We feel included and complete here. It'll be hard to leave, but since it is never too late-I'm going.
