It hasn't rained here in PT for over 4 months. The grass was brown. It started raining 4 days ago and has not stopped. The grass is now turning green. Dixie and I went for our afternoon walk and while it wasn't raining hard,
the run off was moving pretty fast.There is usually very little traffic where we walk.But without sidewalks and the road being gravel, it's a little tricky when a car does come along. Dixie is a little stubborn sometimes and asking her to quickly move to the
far side of the road is met with resistance. it is truly interesting how much force it takes to move a 14 lb dog who doesn't want to move. Today was Halloween and I don't get
it, but this town is crazy about Halloween. Houses are decorated, people make or buy costumes. My sons' band played for all the kids and a lot of adults to march down town at 3 o'clock. Instead of Trick
or Treating, the merchants provide treats in their stores for the kids who are running in and out of them for their candy. It rained pretty heavily and my son in his red jump suit playing his Sousaphone
got drenched. The rain did not diminish the crowds or the excited kids . This is the NW, it rains a lot and it doesn't seem to stop whatever it is you want to do. If the rain bothers you, get over it or leave is the attitude. Or just complain.
