One of the traditions on YomKippur is to say to your fellow worshipers," have a easy fast". Yom Kippur is a day of setting aside worldly participation. You repent and reflect. As I get older, I think of " have an easy fast"
as a metaphor. By this time in my life, I should have figured out this living thing and have fewer things to repent for and ask forgiveness for. My reflections on the past year and what is to come should give me hope for being " inscribed in the book of life".
Amen and Amen.
