We use to tell our kids that they could go barefooted when the temperature got to 80. Finally ,it is summer here. Our temperature in PT just reached 71 , so I took my socks off. I polished my toenails for the occasion. It's been a long time, but I turned the AC on in the car. It never got cool, so either it needs something fixed or I didn't turn the right dial. Luckily, the windows
work.
I drank my coffee outside on the deck and that felt so good. I do like hot weather. Especially because I know that the nights are cool and there is usually a breeze from the water. Flowers are still loving
this weather. Pretty soon, we will have to start watering regularly and things will begin to wilt, but for right now, everything is happy. I planted some sunflower plants and they are such happy plants. I didn't know this when I planted them, but they are
miniature sunflowers. i was expecting a Jack and the bean stalk growth, but they are about 2 feet tall and proud of it. I am not sure about getting seeds from them. My tomatoes have dozens of flowers, but no sign of a tomato. And my corn is not as high as
an elephants eye, but it is growing. If I get an ear of corn, I will be so excited.
