Someone told me that it was summer. I strongly doubt them.Every morning I go to yahoo weather. Today was pretty much as it has been almost all month. High of 56, low of 54. Maybe people around here are right when
they tell me that summer starts July 5th.One good thing about our weather is that it is a perfect
environment for growing flowers. Veggies ,on the other hand, want a little more sun. My DiL has peonies that are have flowers larger than a dinner plate. The colors are vibrant. In the mid west, I only saw pinks of different shades. Here the peonies range from
a really dark red to almost white. I have a peony waiting to be planted that will be a surprise next " summer". There are no buds and we don't know what the color of the flowers will be. I have been eating salad greens from my garden. I can't say that they
taste any better than the ones I get at the grocery, but there is satisfaction in knowing that I planted something and now I am eating it. And snow peas. I had no idea that planting a row of them would yield so many actual snow peas. I will share. If you are
related to me.
