Today was one of those days. I haven't had a lot of days like this and I am relieved that I don't. For some reason, I thought my volunteer gig started at noon, but I knew
I am there from 10 until 2. So at ,10 o'clock, I was lazing around drinking coffee. I suddenly remembered that I am due there at 10, so I rushed out of the house without my hearing aids. (I just pretended
that I could hear what people said. If you smile a lot, no one notices.) Then I got lost going to volunteer. I've only been there a few times before I left on vacation.
I turned right out of my street and I should have turned left. I use to do this in Venice a lot. I went to the JCV so often, that my car automatically turned left when I should have gone right. I finally
got myself on the right street and went on to my destination. Streets are crazy in PT. They stop and start at random, so it wasn't completely my mistake. When I started doing my sorting of donated clothes, I realized that my shirt was on backwards. I knew
this when I went to put my hand in my pocket and my pocket was around my back. Duh! The rest of the day was fine and now I can
laugh about how it all went down. Hopefully, I won't have another day like this for
at least another life time.Thegood news is that I spent a few hours with my grandson visiting the rhododendron flower gardens at Fort Thompson . That made the day sweeter.
