Walked a trail with my daughter and two dogs. One dog walked, one dog was carried inside of a jacket. Sun and blue sky, which was not predicted. A race was cancelled because the weather prediction for today was incredibly
bleak. This was a gift to have such a perfect spring day. We spent a short time in SteamBoat Springs, the town 20 miles from my daughters home. This is a high end tourist town. Ski season brings celebrities and athletes . Spring and summer brings campers and
hikers. This little in between time that isn't exactly spring or summer , is called mud season because everything is melting and it is very, very muddy. I knew that and still only brought one pair of shoes.
I may have to buy a second pair for when my shoes get over grown with wet mud. I've made friends with some of the house dogs, but the nipper dog wears a red shirt, so I know which one to stay away from. With two
legs and a few teeth, he is still a threat.
