It is trying so hard to be spring, here. The daffodils that we planted to border the garden walk are still vibrant. The fruit trees are full of blossoms and baby leaves. When I sit on my couch and look out at the trees surrounding
my pod, everything that looked like a bare twig, is turning green and leafing. I mowed twice ,just before the wedding, and I am seriously thinking of doing it again. I haven't seen the mountains in a few days. The cloud cover and grey skies completely block
them. But the sun has come out for a few hours at different times during the last few days. That is a promising sign for warmer weather. I know it will be warm days ahead because our immediate neighbor has mowed , watered and thrown grass seed in preparation
for croquet. They are super croquet players. Every weekend in season, they have guests over to play. They are serious, but in a good way , about the game. You
can hear laughing and shouts of success or groans when a shot is missed. but they play strictly by the rules and we eagerly wait for our yearly invitation
to play with them.
