ON THE BACK BURNER

Today seemed busier than most. The bride and groom to be came over to visit. I shoveled more mulch. I have it figured out. ..If someone fills the wheelbarrow and pushes it up the incline, I can do the emptying and spreading. When I was fertilizing the vegetable  garden, that was on one level, but the flower garden is on a higher area and I just couldn't get that full wheelbarrow to make it up the incline.  This is much more efficient for me. I did my favorite thing... moving rocks. I had left a small pile  to be placed at a latter date and that date is in 10 more days, so,I had to finish the job. We have been throwing all kinds of " stuff" into my son's studio. I put my empty suitcases and Dixie's travel crate there. someone asked if they could keep their drum set there. I saw a bike in the corner. Now is the rime to get it back to a studio.Especially since the bride intends to dress there. So everything is being claimed and put in the right place. That means a trip to Goodwill . i promise not to go into the store. I have been putting off collecting papers for my accountant and I just felt that I had to do it today. I concentrated and did it. A trip to the post office and I am over it. While I worked on my " to do" list, my daughter decorated Mason jars for the wedding tables and assembled paper cones that will hold the lavender, sage , rose petals and grass seed that the guest will be given to throw at the bride and groom , after the ceremony . In the meantime, Dixie is confused by all of the activity. She likes her routine. 10 more days Dixie.
