ON THE BACK BURNER

The week has flown by and I am ending my self guaranteeing. I had to stop and count how many letters were in that one word.  For excitement, I will go to the grocery store, in person.  I gave my son a shopping list so that I would have some food in the pod. Ground beef and coffee. I reasoned that with ground beef, I could feed me and Dixie, adding kibbles to her dish. I've offered coffee to Dixie, but she always refuses. Unlike Venice,I didn't clear out my pantry here , so I had plenty of stocked food. When I was weeding today, I remembered that  I had planted potatoes , last summer. I dug where they were supposed to be and ... there were potatoes. I thought that was pretty exciting. I also had a real treat. My son brought me a huge boiled crab that a sailer had given him. I stood over the sink and ate the whole thing. Brought back memories of eating sea food at West  end in New  Orleans. Then I remembered that I had to " crack" the shells for Bob. He never did learn how to do it himself. He was good with shrimp, though.
