I'm keeping track of the weather in P.T. I compare it to the weather here in Venice, and I can see that I will have to acclimate myself all over again. I have been surprised how well I adjusted to the colder temps in PT.
Then I spoiled myself here in Venice by cranking up the thermometer when I felt the least bit chilly. I often had to get up at night and lower the thermostat. I finally figured out that I should just set
it and leave it alone. I am curious to get my Florida power bill. Should be a duzzy. Then , it will interesting to see my son's electric bill without me there. I am hooked up to his meter and I used all
kinds of appliances, plus running the space heater 24/7. The most expensive utility in PT is water. Seems strange that we are a peninsular , surrounded by water and that water is so costly. I hadn't before
thought too much about the cost of water because that is part of my assessment here in Venice. I have tried to be conservative with it. I have learned not to keep the water running while I brush my teeth, to run a
full dishwasher and in general, not be too wasteful. That was easier than turning out lights when a room is not in use. I still like a house to be bright with lights. Makes it seem friendly and homey.
