ON THE BACK BURNER

I got through January without Goodwill or Amazon. I wasted no green leafy veggies. If I had a leftover, I  ate it the next day. I used the library for books and I did the NoBuy all month. Now it is February and I went to a thrift store and bought two large suitcases. I ordered a book from Amazon, but I don't  think that counts. It is the book they just published for me and I really want to see what it looks like in real life. The suitcases are for me to bring books and other things back to PT . I checked UPS and to ship About 20  lbs of books is  $145.00. I will pay the additional cost of taking 2 suitcases as my checked luggage , and besides the books arrive at the same time as I do,it will cost less. It will be a little tricky getting from the curb to the check in, but after that it is just me and Dixie Cup. I will then have to do it on the destination side, but I am sure that I will have a few helpers. I have no idea where I will put all of the cookbooks that I am bringing to PT., but I am willing to share with my Grandson's. We all seem to have a fondness for cookbooks. I started a hand written cookbook way before I got married. I remember writing the recipe for chow mein that my sister and her husband made. All of the ingredients were in cans. Canned  chow mein vegetables, canned chow mein fried salted noodles. Soy sauce. I think you made white rice and served it over that. I thought it was pretty tasty. Now, the only cans that I use are tomatoes and dog food. Not in the same meal.
