ON THE BACK BURNER

Today was my son's birthday. I have no idea how he got to be an adult. It just happened. At this point in my life, I feel as if all four of my kids and I , are the same age. As with time, age is just a number. I think that everyone should have a donut on their birthday. My best donut was a Krispy Kreme donut that I watched being fried. PT has no Krispy kreme, no Duncan Donuts either. So I bought him a donut at the grocery store.  I bought one for me ,too, since I feel that I had a part to play in his birth. A mistake. The donut, not the  birth. It wasn't fried, but baked. That's OK if that is what you expected, but I wanted one of those light, airy, fried donuts .It wasn't worth the calories, so I didn't eat the whole thing. I don't know what my son did with his. He took the day off of work to celebrate his birthday and he spent the time putting in a new window in his studio. This was his choice on how to celebrate. he has a great work ethic.
