ON THE BACK BURNER

We had our Sunday Family Brunch and for a change, it wasn't raining. My grandson's girl friend made sticky buns and if I had realized how good they were going to be, I wouldn't have made my dish. Confession: I ate three. Next time she is in the mood to make these buns, we should just do coffee and sweet rolls. We decided on our Thanksgiving menu and I am looking forward to the celebration. I'm saving left over challah for the stuffing. I have started cleaning out the chest freezer in my son's studio. I found a package of cranberries that I must have bought for last Thanksgiving. I also discovered a package of smoked salmon that expired in July. It's still sealed and I have every intention of keeping it and having a bagel and lox breakfast with the family.  I think my  grandson made more of his everything bagels and froze them, so we have another family brunch menu in the making. Dixie had her second session completely in her travel crate. She stayed in for 5minutes yesterday and 5 minutes today. It's a start. The other day, I had the thought that once I get back to Venice, I will have a closet full of clothes that I haven't worn in two years. I can't even remember what I have in the closet. Since my style doesn't change ,whatever is there , will be just fine.

Don't quite know how this got to me but it was on the top line of my computer (not in email) But I really enjoyed it. I truly admire you.
