Tonight was what being in PT with my family really is all about. One Grandson texted if he could have the van to go back and forth to his new storage unit and another Grandson came for dinner. My son dropped in after work
to pick up his challah. I've never had experiences like this before. Once the kids left home to go to college, most of them didn't come back to live .If Covid did nothing else, it gave me this wonderful
opportunity to see what it is like to have family close by. In New Orleans, people don't tend to leave home. Even though my parents were not native to New Orleans, they took on this N.O. tradition of having family close by. .
Once my parents generation married, they and their kids and then grandkids stayed in N.O. It is said that once you drink the waters of the Mississippi, you don't leave. I guess that I didn't drink enough of the water. It makes me really happy to have this
chance to have family so close that I am part of their day to day . I hate to give
Covid any credit, but it did give me a gift of spending this time
with people that I love.
