It's summer on the calendar,I think that it is an April fool joke. It's a be careful of what you wish for situation. A few years back, another life time ago, it seems, I came to spend a summer here to escape the heat in Florida.
Little did I know that I would be here for a couple of summers, complaining about how cold the summer is. This cold weather is keeping my tomatoes from ripening. I have dozens of blooms , many little green tomatoes, and ,so far, 2 ripe cherry tomatoes, which
I immediately ate before the deers did. They were not that tasty. I am told that the nights have to be warmer for the plant to be happy and give me ripe tomatoes. We had a deer in the yard the other day
who was just lying quietly on the grass. Our first thought was , " Oh please not let her be dropping a baby". She was only resting. The birds caught on to my scare crow and after a few days, it was just
outdoor art. I checked with Google and saw that the birds don't like balls because they think that they are eyes. ( Who asked them) So I went to my favorite source of all things that make me look forward to mail delivery,Amazon. I ordered a
set of 50 brightly colored small balls that are suitable for those kids ball pits. I'll throw them all around the plants and maybe that will work. even if it doesn't, think how colorful the yard will look.
