Today was yard sale day and it was very pathetic. People have no more junk to throw away. I am encouraging my son to have a yard sale. He has plenty of stuff to sell. When he accumulates to much " stuff", he brings it to
a local shop called"waste not, want not", and gets a credit to buy more stuff there. Everyone in town uses "Waste not ". It's where you go first to see if they have that one screw that you need, or a sun umbrella for your picnic table. I bought Dixie an extra
leash there, to keep in the car, as an emergency leash. It was a dollar. Not the 10 bucks or more from the Pet Store. After the yard sales , we usually go to a take out place for sandwiches. Today we went to what I think is a great concept. It's a free standing
building, that has 4 different food services using the facility on assigned days. A bakery that only caters cookies, has a day. A donut maker has a slot and there are two foodie take out slots. Saturday belongs to a concern that makes shrimp po boys, fried
chicken po boys and brats. The shrimp po boy is the best I've had since leaving New Orleans. I wish they made an oyster po boy. It's really all about the bread. I can tell from the first crunch, that the
sandwich is going to taste pretty authentic. I can't wait until next Saturday .
