ON THE BACK BURNER

I got all of the salvia, except two planted. Now comes the hard part. Watering. Every 20 minutes, I move the sprinkler. I set the stove clock so that I don't forget. The birds follow me around. The water in my home made bird bath evaporates mid day, so the birds are happy about my new watering schedule. Dixie is not a hot weather dog. If we do a large square, on our afternoon walk,we are in the shade ,except for one block. I've mentioned before about the foot paths that they have here. We walk out of our yard, take a right , walk through a wooded path. Continue one block , take a left and walk through two paths. Then another left and we are in the sun for one block, then home again. That's when Dixie picks up the pace and trots for home. I hold back so she thinks she is winning. She is so proud of herself. This is good for her self esteem.
