What a great day. My grandson picked me up at 10 and brought me home at about 3:45. Where did we go ? To a mall. I guess we were mall rats for the day. Drove to Silverdale,
Washington, where there are several outdoor malls. Once we got there, we each went our own way, checking in with our cells , as to our time frame and location. Combined , our purchases ranged from lipstick( mine) to underwear( his), socks( me) to beer( his).I
haven't been to a shopping center in a year and a half. Even before Covid, I didn't shop at malls, so this was exciting. I discovered Old Navy. The "T" shirts were cheaper than Goodwill's.! Buying lipstick
was a challenge. All of the cosmetics were under plastic so you couldn't sample anything. I was actually overwhelmed by all of the cosmetic varieties. Did you know that Ulta has a beauty salon in the store?
I felt like I had over slept and woke up in another generation. I felt much better atHomeGoods. At least towels and ceramic bowls are universal and haven't changed their looks and purpose. For our final treat, we drove to a fantastic grocery store. I think
it is Central Market, or Center Market. It is Whole Foods meets Trader Joe's mixed with attitude. Next time, we are forgetting the clothes and going for the market. Asian ,Mexican,Thai, Chinese, you name it and there is an aisle for it. Plus $4 Chicago Hot
dogs with a beverage in take out. I kept away from the cheese section. I didn't want to be tempted. I have to learn how to get there by myself, the cheese is calling out to me. Next time, cheese. I promise. And PS... everyone, every where was masked.
