Today is my happy day. I get to exercise at the community center and go back there a few hours later and play Mah Jong with the nicest ladies. Maybe there is something universal about ladies who play May Jong, but they make
me feel so welcome and as if I have known them longer than a month. It's nice. My exercise class is the kind of class that you get what you put into it. Everyone does the best that they can, and that works for all,of us. At the most, there are 12 people in
class. We take these large index cards with instructions on a certain exercise. When we get to class, we each choose 3 or 4 cards, take 2 or 3 lb weights , a stretch band and take a seat , set up in a square. There is a timer that we pass, one person to the
next when it is your turn to lead the class. It works. We do standing exercises, stretching exercise, balance exercises, range of motion, weights, leg exercises. If you concentrate, work your muscles and don.'t depend on motion only to do them, you can get
a real work out. We work out for an hour and end with some breathing exercise and a slow stretch for your back , quads and ham string. I go home really refreshed and feeling good. I'd go every day, if they offered it. I'm an over achiever.
