ON THE BACK BURNER

It made it up to 56 today.I do have AC, but at this rate, I won't get to use it. I went to water the new grass at least two times today,  but  each time , it started to drizzle. I had to decide if I wanted to get wet myself or just let nature do its thing. I went with nature. Today was Challah day and actually, I have not mastered it yet. There has got to be some problem with the flour or the temperature or the humidity, but I haven't made a perfect loaf yet. They taste fine, but they don't look picture perfect. One of these days I am going to get it just the way that I want it. I could hear and later see a small  bulldozer plowing through the over grown lots across the street from us. sooner or later someone is going to buy the 3 lots and maybe block our tiny view of the sound. I am hoping that the lots will be so expensive, that no one can afford them. Real estate is so out of bounds already in PT that can happen.Houses are going hundred of thousands over asking price because of bidding wars. The property across the street has been in that family for years, undeveloped. The time is sure right for the heirs to sell. Can't fault them for that. As long as Dixie and I have our county owned nature trail right next to us, We're happy.
