ON THE BACK BURNER

Well, it rained so hard and the wind was so strong that some of my tall grasses blew over. And my DiL's Peonies are flattened. And for weirdness, half my deck isn't wet. We decided that I have my own cloud and it only wanted some of my deck to be wet. tonight was family meal and ai made shrimp gumbo. It hit just the right spot as the rain came down. I had to borrow what we call a gumbo pot ,from my DiL. That pot will forever, now, be known as the gumbo pot. My DiL is not a sitter when there is stuff to be done, so as soon as she ate, she was staking my grasses to set them upright. I sure hope that it works. They are the focal point of my garden, after the geraniums that border them. I am beginning to figure out PT. I was walking Dixie, her hair was blowing straight back, even her ears were back. I had my head down from the wind . A lady came out of her house, to her mailbox. I said something about the wind, she smiled and said"It's a great day to sail". I guess that is the PT outlook on life.
