ON THE BACK BURNER

When everI fill my propane containers, I have lunch with my son. He has to lift the empty tank out of the trunk and then lift the filled tank and put it back in the trunk. The final step is carrying it to the pod. I am guessing that it weighs about 40 lbs. or more filled. Then ,it has to be lifted onto its perch, at the back of the pod. I can nit do that. It's worth a lunch t9 have my son do it for me. He happens to be a cheap date , and today was a hamburger and fries, down by the water of a state park, Fort Worden.  I've taken Dixie there, thinking that she would walk on the beach and maybe get her feet wet. Didn't work. She hates the rocky beach and doesn't like to get her feet wet. The fact is , that she is just as happy walking to the lagoon, or through the woods, here in the neighborhood. It's me that wants to take a hike or a long walk. Maybe I have to borrow a younger dog.
