ON THE BACK BURNER

Exercise, challah making and mowing the lawn. All done. Nothing nicer than a freshly mowed lawn, especially how wonderful it smells. As a bonus, my DiL's flowers are starting to bloom and I got an arrangement of the irises, daisy's and a magnificent red rose. The rose is an old fashioned variety that has an intoxicating scent. One of the Irises is such a dark purple that it looks black. Stunning. The deer are getting aggressive. They haven't physically bothered me, but we are hearing about attacks to people walking their dogs. That's a little scary because the deer are usually out eating when Dixie and I go for our first walk. I don't bother them, Dixie doesn't see them and they don't bother us. It's fawning time and we see a lot of new borns. As much as a nuisance that they are, the babies are really cute. Today my grandson gave me two booklets that he had made up from pictures that he took of our drive here from Florida and our trip to Denali, Alaska. Looking at the pictures makes me want to do both trips again.
