ON THE BACK BURNER

I looked up what to do with radishes on Google. We got radishes with our farm share and my radishes are producing. I sautéed sliced radishes in coconut oil , sprinkled garlic powder on them ,put on some parsley from the garden and had something I have never had before. Cooked radishes. They were good. I had to use powdered garlic because , I think ,for the first time in my life, I was out of fresh garlic. That's like being out of salt. It just is not supposed to ever happen. I started doing weeding this afternoon. I am so new at this gardening, that with some of what we planted, I can't tell if it is a weed or a young shoot. I think I need guidance. Dixie doesn't seem to like to come into the garden cage, which is fine with me. She sits and watches me on the other side of the wire . This morning, while I was making coffee, I heard what sounded like a car running into my pod. The wind had taken our garden umbrella, which was in a stand, the pole running up through the table, and blew it out of the stand, slamming it into the trailer and just barely hooking it on to the roof. That was a surprise. I could get it down , by pushing the pole up and away from the roof. Lesson learned... close umbrella at night. Luckily , there was no damage to anything.
