We got our first farm share today and after a rocky start of not being able to find the pick up location, all was well. The veggies look perfect. The pickings are slim , but it's still early in the Northwest growing session.
We are sharing spinach ,those fat green onions, turnips, big, fat radishes and kale. Actually, I could eat the delivery all by myself, but I agreed to share. And further garden news.... I finally found some
flowers on my tomato plants. Hooray for my plants surviving the really cool nights. I hear that Memorial Day is coming up. These holiday's use to be so important to us. School out, drive to our cottage for a long week end, put our raft in the water. Now, I
have to be reminded that the holiday is here. Miss those times when everyone was busy opening up their seasonal cottage. Our joke was that we should call our plumber and have him waiting for us when we get to
the cottage. There was always some problem waiting for us. once we found that two squirrels had gotten in and managed to die in the insulation in the ceiling. I wish that they had found their way out, poor babies.
