ON THE BACK BURNER

I am waiting for the temperature to reach , say, 62. That would be a good start. Every time I ask when will it get warm, I get the same answer.. July 4 th.They may not be kidding. The sun is out, the sky is blue,  but  it is not warm enough for me. At least, Dixie has stopped wearing a sweater. Not so, me. I bought a few of those super large storage bags that you deflate after you pack them so that I can store my wintery clothes. I unpacked them. i bought a few summer type pants and tops at Amazon and I have yet to wear them. When I get back to  Venice in the fall, they will probably still be like new. Now that I have grass growing and veggies sprouting, I'd like a little help with some rain. Not happening. Mother Nature has a mind of her own, I guess. I have many, many radishes. I knew that I would. My dill seems slow. The peas never came up at all. Arugula  and beets are just a few leaves. I guess that is how they start out. I will be patient. Potatoes and onion are looking promising. Thank goodness I don't have to depend on my farming skills to eat. My first delivery of veggies is next week from the farm co op. I don't know what to expect.  Maybe radishes.
