Dixie and I walked to the lagoon this afternoon and we haven't been the same since.I have been having a feeling that she is beginning to slow down, so we haven't done this walk in awhile. Today was a perfect day for a long
walk down hill. Unfortunately, we then have to go uphill to get home. It is harder walking slowly uphill than if you just charged up. We walked slowly and for some reason, there was more car traffic then we usually see. That meant that we had extra steps to
move off of the road. I always stop walking when a car passes me. The shoulder is narrow, grassy, uneven and rocky, so footing can be uneven. When we got home, Dixie ate, jumped on the couch and hasn't moved. I picked her up and put her in my bed and she fell
right to sleep again. She won't move now until morning. I suspect, that our trip to the lagoon will be via car from now on. I sat down to read and I must have fallen asleep ,too, because I woke up when the
phone rang . Falling asleep was completely involuntary. Dixie is a bad influence on me.
