Shrimp and grits! Sunday family meal that is requested most often. Today's shrimp were not my regular super market shrimp. They came directly from Alaska and were big and sweet. A boater gave 4 lbs of them to my son , frozen.
I can't remember what kind they were but they had really hard shells that I had to use scissors to cut the shrimp out. Then they were filled with roe. That is something that I have never seen . I tasted it and it didn't have much taste. I think you would have
to treat it in some way to get caviar from it. The shrimp were large , about 3 or 4 ounces each. There was absolutely not anything left over from this meal. I always have trouble coming up with what to
serve at our next family meal after I do a shrimp and grits dinner. To top it off, my grandson's girl friend made her famous apple pie for dessert and I got a special one just for me. I'm going to eat it
right now , in my pod. This way, I don't have to share !
