I don't mean to be cranky , but the grocery store here uses only house brand items and I miss the things that I am familiar with. Or it items aren't where they should
be. I was looking for marinated artichokes. I know just where they are in Venice. I searched several aisle , more than once, and found them with the canned veggies. Is that where they
are in my Venice store.? And I wanted mortadella for my muffuletta for our Sunday family meal. No where to be found. I am figuring that since I am the only one who has eaten a traditional muffuletta, whatever combination I come up with, will be good. There
is a seasonal Chicago hot dog stand that is finally opened. I was told that they just buy the whole package from the hot dog stand in Chicago, hot dogs, buns, celery salt ,pickles, cukes, tomatoes,onions. The whole deal. That's about as turn key as you can
get. It was a little windy and chilly for the experience of eating a hot dog, so my son and I sat in my warm car to eat. He ate two while I was still on my first. The only thing missing was the sound of cheering from Wrigley Field. Go Cubs Go.
