One of two reasons that we ( grandson and me) bought this Honda van was 1. I like sitting up for a better view and 2. for camping. So now , we are getting serious about camping. My grandson and
I drove to a state park, that is about 20 minutes from us, to take a look at camp sites.Just off of the highway is a road, take left and you are on a
winding narrow drive , with enormous trees on both sides. It was like the Red Wood Forest in California. Magnificent. Now , I can't wait to pick a week end and a site before they fill up with reservations.
Later, I spent the next hour or so, mowing. That is one of my favorite activities, next to moving rocks. This was the second mow of the season for one side of the yard and a first mow for the other side.The dirt that we have been talking about for weeks is
now level there and after they pack it down some what, I can start my seeding. I am laying mulch on my side of the yard around my pod. I planted in containers,herbs , and so far, no deer have come around.
These deer are Bambi's when you see them on the screen, but in real life, they are nuisances.
I did not want this day to end without acknowledging the bravery
of the jury in the verdict of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd. His family will never
be at peace,but this may give them a little solace.
