ON THE BACK BURNER

Last day to prepare for our Seder. I trimmed the cooked brisket and I must have thrown away at least a lb. of fat. I decided to make a almond flour cake with lemon/ white chocolate topping. I would love to snitch a piece of it. there is no way on it to be discrete about taking a sample, so I have to wait . My son is making ,from scratch, homemade chicken soup and matzoh balls. We have a deal going , so everyone knows that he is making it from scratch. I role play about “ who made this wonderful soup”? “ From scratch”. ? We’ve rehearsed. I foundManischvitz wine at our grocery store. It was there all along, I just didn’t see it. It was above my eye level.I used a wine that labeled itself” fruitsecco”, for the charotzi( a mixture of finely chopped apples, cinnamon, sugar and chopped nuts with enough sweet wine to hold it together) . The fruitsecco actually tastes very refreshing. But I need the Kosher for Passover Concord grape wine to make the charotzi .This is tradition. Somethings you just can’t fool with.
