ON THE BACK BURNER

I tried out my new Crock Pot before I make our passover Brisket. I bought a corned beef for St. Patrick’s Day and saved it to use as a test . It works! Cooking the brisket involves steps : Cook it,Put it in the fridge to cool, slice it and then put it back in the cooking liquid, reheat, serve, eat.Should be a two day project. I am looking longingly at the unopened Matzoh. That first matzoh always taste so good. I don’t know why it goes down hill from that first one. I had to buy another case of 5 boxes of Matzoh. After we divided the last case, we all decided that maybe we needed more. I just want to make sure that I have enough left to make matzoh with the chocolate and nuts and lots of melted butter. I think it is called matzoh brickle. There is a food co-op here and I understand that they are carrying Passover products. I should do my civic duty and support them. My daughter in Israel says that she can’t find those sugary, nasty ,artificially colored fruit slices that are only sold at Passover. I thought that if I see them at the co- op, I’ll buy her a package and freeze them for a year until she comes for her son’s wedding next March. They can’t taste  any worse.
