ON THE BACK BURNER

The great news is that 1/2 of the 30 year olds are getting their vaccination today., plus my son and DiL. That’s the day that I get my Covid test in prep for my procedure. The Jefferson County Health Service is going to be confused with all of these Uchitelle’s coming and going. There will be 5 of us in and out of their offices in one day. It’s confusing enough at the grocery store where some of us order on line and pick up on the same day. They have learned to ask us our first name, just to be sure.  I am the only one that gets dog food! We had our family lunch and ,of course, it was the other day, when it typically rains. For some reason, it felt unusually cold and nasty. Dixie started shivering, even though I had her in a wool sweater and her neon yellow rain jacket. I think it has to do with the placement of the tents. They were moved to make way for a delivery of dirt that will level the yard. The tents are further down the hill and in a valley like place. That must hold in the chill more than where they were. I was told to take the cooking day off and I did. We had great pizza and my favorite ,Classic Coke. Plus really good brownies that I learned were made with pumpkin. I had two.
