I have figured it out. It rains and is blustery every other day. Now that I know the secret to life in Port Townsend, I can plan my days around the weather. Today was absolutely gorgeous. I changed from my Lands End lined
jacket to a fleece jacket . I felt light. Dixie is still doubled sweatered. Little guys don’t have such a sophisticated temperature control and she gets cold .We had a walk about at the lagoon and everybody was out. People taking pictures, dog walkers,
solo walkers, couples walking. We can’t go completely around the lagoon because there are no paths on the other side. that’s too bad. it would be fun to do the whole circle. But we follow different paths, go over a wooden bridge ,follow a foot
path that has been worn through the grass, walk a trail made by bikes. It is a little muddy, and I try to steer Dixie around the worse of them. Dixie can’t get enough of the smells. I am patient and
just let her take her time. After all, this walk is all about her. I’m just along to carry her leash.
