A couple of different things happened today. It snowed. I haven’t seen this much snow in 15 years. ( exception is 7 inches inJerusalem when Bob and I Were visiting one January.) There was
about 3 inches of soft , white , unblemished snow. Then I heard someone stealing my snow! My son got out early to clean off my deck and make me a path. That was extra sweet. Then, the biggest surprise. Notice
how I haven’t mentioned Dixie. The same Texas recycled senior dog ,who hates rain. The same gal that I have to drag out of the house during a light shower, after she
hasn’t peed in 15 hours . She loved the snow. She did her version of the zoomies. She plowed into small snow drifts. She pranced. Go figure. Before I could make my morning coffee on this strange day
of snow and Dixie’s passion for snow, I found that I had no water. That was a little inconvenient. I didn’t think it was that cold and the pipes have electric tape on them. Still one section managed to freeze. I felt right at home and I didn’t
forget what living in an over 100 year old house had taught us. My son did some jiggling, I moved the portable heater into the bathroom where all of the vitals are for the trailer and in a few hours, all was good again. It was an exciting day.
