ON THE BACK BURNER

Ever have a day where you didn’t do that much, bu you still consider it a good day? That could be today. I made my usual Shabbat Challah , helped my DiL , counted how many blocks I walked with Dixie for our afternoon walk(18).I didn’t realize we walked that many.No wonder the senior pup comes home and takes a nap. We’ll keep doing this type of walk because she can . I washed a couple of loads and then did what I hate to do. Put them away. I decided that I needed a new top. By new, I mean new to me ,but not new. There is a great resale shop in town. It was 10 am and I figured that I would drive over and see if I could find what I had in mind. They didn’t open until 11. Then I decided to pick up a knitting needle that I need for a afghan kit that I am waiting for. They didn’t open until 11. So I did what I should have done in the beginning. Went to Goodwill because I know that they open at 10. Found what I wanted and by 11, was home . I even tried backing into a parking space. I think that is what made this a good day. I haven’t lost my touch and I didn’t use the Chicago style of parking. You go forward until you hit, just lightly ,the car in front, then you back up , very gently, and hit the car behind. Then you center your car. easy peasy. That’s how you do it in Chicago.
