I went out to lunch with my son.The last time that I went out to lunch was Jan. 2020 and that was with my daughter in Jerusalem. We went to a fish taco carry out . My
son had called in our order, 4 fish taco and 2 cokes, to be ready at noon. Everything went perfectly and I got to eat at a picnic table outdoors. For the rest of the day, I could smell fish. I think I must have drooled onto my pulled down face mask. I was
very excited to be out. I’ve mentioned before how this town is amazing with face masks . The restaurants still only serve outdoors . Unfortunately for them, the restaurants in Tacoma and Seattle, two large cities , are now able to open inside with a
limited capacity. It has to do with statistics that the Governor is using. If numbers show that you have shown significant improvement in Covid numbers, you can open indoors. Port Townsend, never had the
numbers of cases that let them use the factoring, to show an improvement, so they can’t open. It’s all in the way that the bigger cities play around with the numbers. There is a lot of complaining
about this with the restaurant community. So it is carry out and eating outdoors,at a picnic table for me. Maybe some day, I’ll get to eat ,seated inside at a real restaurant. I’ll feel undressed
without my face mask around my neck.
