ON THE BACK BURNER

I am just amazed at myself. A whole day went by, quickly, and I did very little of substance. How do I do that? Must take a certain skill set. I am much more efficient when the sun is up, or at least when it isn’t so dark .Dixie and I wait for it to get brighter so we can do our first walk. And that is another thing. If I didn’t have Dixie to walk, would I go out at all in the morning. When I ran, I met a friend who still worked. So our morning runs were in the dark and early. I don’t think that I would want to sign on for that now. My outdoor activity is between waiting for it to get light and watching for it to get dark in the late afternoon. Both of these occasions involve Dixie. Morning walk after it becomes light and afternoon walk before it gets dark. In between these two events, is plenty of time for whatever it is I need to do. Or not. Certain days of the week have prescribed activities. Tuesday is Zoom day. Wednesday is ordering my groceries for pick up on Thursday. Thursday is baking two loaves of bread for sandwiches ,Friday is Challah making. Saturday is prep for Sunday lunch/ Brunch  and Sunday is family meal. I guess I have more substance to my days than I thought.  Monday is unaccounted for. I’ll take it as my day off.
