I spent inauguration day ,all day, focused on my iPad. All day. Today, the day after, I spent an inordinate amount of time on my iPad listening to it all over again, listening to commentaries about who wore what, the significance
of the color of the dress, listening to Dr. Fauci, reading of the outpouring of enthusiasm for Amanda Gorman,the meme ‘s of Sanders in places that you wouldn’t expect him, and basically , just being relieved that our country was functioning in
an orderly fashion. It was a good feeling. I know that the honeymoon period will eventually end, but for now, putting Covid relief at the top of the pile,getting the vaccine and supplies out into the field,
convincing people to get vaccinated, working to get that 80 % inoculated so the herding effect kicks in ,is what will put us back on track. This isn’t even political. It is humane.
