Today was shrimp and grits day. Not a lot of people can eat this at 9 in the morning, but we are not those people.
My grandson had to be at work at the restaurant at 10:30, so we had our brunch at 9. We are the kind of family that wakes up early and as soon as our feet the
floor, we are ready to go. Some families would probably shudder at this, but it works for us. Some of us don’t even need coffee to get to this level. But it is nice. Dixie hates these morning Brunches.
She sometimes sits in the open doorway of the trailer , scowling at us. She has to have a sweater on , which she does like. Who ever loved her before me, must have dressed her because she will give you her front paws, one at a time, to put in her sleeve holes.
Unfortunately, her vision is quickly failing . It seems as if it happened all at once. She did came to me with a cataract in one eye. But now the other eye has something different going on. I found something called a “ halo” that protrudes around
her head and protects her from bumping too hard into things. I can’t believe someone actually made a business out of blind dogs, but I guess we dog owners are willing to buy anything that might help our pets have a better quality of life. And Amazon
carries them.!
