ON THE BACK BURNER

Today was different. We had 30 mile an hour winds. I guess in seamen’s vocabulary, it was a land squall.. I was told it is called “ the pineapple express” and the wind comes straight through from Hawaii. Dixie did not like it, but then she doesn’t like a lot of the weather here in  Port Townsend. Since nothing gets between our family and food, we had a small pre birthday celebration. My grandson made cream puffs filled with a custard filling. I ate one and brought another home for late night dessert. By late night ,meaning 8 :30 ish, I had already nibbled it away. This week end , we are going to start rehearsing for our congregations talent show.  I am expecting that there will be a lot of laughing and starting over again. Luckily, I only have to know 4 chords. Got it down pat.
