ON THE BACK BURNER

when we celebrated Chanukah here in Port Townsend, I suggested that we do a white elephant exchange of presents. The only rule was that it had to be something you had in the house, or something that you made. I ended up with a great gift. All of the Harry Potter videos. The Harry Potter series were the first books of magical imagination that I have ever read. I stick to cook books and novels. I fell for the whole Harry Potter experience. I even spent a day at the Harry Potter theme section at Universal  when I went to Disney World with my Disney buddy. I came home and looked up  butter Beer  on Google and made some. It is terrific, but with a high sugar count. I found out that I had a DVD here. This trailer has everything to make life easy. Except a garbage disposal. My grandson showed me how to use the DVD and now, I have started watching one Harry Potter disk an evening. I had tried to watch HP when they were on TV back in Venice. But I never could sync with what was being shown. I’d watch a portion of one movie and when I went to watch another time, the same portion was on. So I  have seen one movie, many times. Now I can watch in order. At first I didn’t want to view any of the movies because I had my own vision of what the characters looked like. But I got over that. I found that I like the sound effects and the wild visuals. Sure beats looking for a plot in a cook book.
