ON THE BACK BURNER

Some where I read that Hallmark had made more Christmas movies this year than last and last year more Christmas movies than the year before. Maybe a total of 50 or more. I will definitely get a divorce from Hallmark when I get back out into the world.  I confess that I have watched more than I should have. I will count them up, some day. They are a little like reading Agatha Christie. No violence that you see, no blood, no sex scenes. And the villain is caught or as in the case of Hallmark, the good guy gets the good gal. I let myself see one movie a day from Hallmark. Sometimes , you can even get in a pretty decent cry and then happily ever after. I have a schedule. It gets very dark by 4 o’clock, so the dog gets walked before 3. By 4, I can turn on my Hallmark on Amazon Prime. That is good for an hour ,plus . Then I can fix dinner, eat dinner, clean up dinner, let the dog out for the last time and by 9 ,I can get ready for bed. 10 o’clock or near that, it is lights out. If I don’t do this schedule, I find myself watching another movie, reading too long or playing Solitaire. All things that I do not want to do. It’s sorta boring when I see it written out. but I get a good nights sleep and that’s worth the routine. I am going to go look for worms.
