ON THE BACK BURNER

What a crazy night. A wind storm kept me up for hours. Not only did my trailer sway ,but the awning over the deck kept swinging and slamming into the trailer. I thought about calling my son to see if he could roll it in, but I hesitated to call at 2:30 in the morning. Although he said that they were up too,and I should have. It finally calmed down and I fell asleep, at around 7. All of a sudden at 7:40 , my son was at the door to pick up his lunch. I had made a few sandwiches a head of time and put them in the freezer. I staggered to the freezer, having a hard time seeing what was in there and I handed him what I thought was his sandwich. He texted me later to say that I gave him a hunk of Parmesan cheese and that it was very tasty. There are a few dead branches down around my trailer, but nothing more than that. I now understand that it isn’t unusual to have a wind like this just before the weather changes. Glad to know. I am rolling up the awning.
