I made my first batch of lotkes. My plan is to freeze them and then at our weekly family brunch, heat them in the oven. The only small hitch is that I asked my son to come over and put this first of
several batch in the freezer that is in his studio. He asked how many were on the tray. I should have known what he was thinking. The question now is... how many lotkes can a grown kid eat from here ,to there. Plenty. That is one of the things that is so special
about being sheltered with family, I get to make a lot of lotkes. Today we insured this jointly owned mini van. I offered to put it on my insurance , thinking that my grandson might be penalized because of his age. Turns out he is not in that danger zone anymore,
but we had to laugh , when he pointed out that I might be because of my advanced age. I thought that this was a good time to tell everyone to please reevaluate my driving skills when I get to be 90 . I give them full power to confiscate my keys. But they will
have to find them first.
